Holland Engineering’s Survey Department continues to be involved with a number of hydrographic survey projects. Most recently, Holland Engineering provided assistance to the Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission (OCP&RC) for their Proposed Boardwalk and Fishing Decks Project. The OCP&RC looked to Holland Engineering for support with a proposed access boardwalk and fishing decks on Lake Macatawa near the harbor entrance to Lake Michigan. Holland Engineering assisted with the hydrographic surveying services by gathering the topographic information needed in the design phases of this project. Using sonar equipment in conjunction with GPS, Holland Engineering was able to provide a detailed topographic map of the lake bottom.
