HEI assisted with engineering and site planning services for "The Settlement", a 9-unit housing project for the elders of the Gun Lake Tribe. HEI's services included master planning, design of the site condominium, and township and county approvals. HEI also provided the design for storm water management and roadway to meet private road and Indian Reservation Road requirements. 
Douglas Harbor Village

Douglas, Michigan HEI assisted with the mixed-use, 3-phase Douglas Harbor Village condominium project located in the Village of Douglas, Michigan. The development will consist of 32 residential condo units and includes 18 commercial units with 30 additional residential units located above them. Design services – site plan, planned unit development (PUD) approval, design for water, sanitary, stormwater management, private driveway and significant landscape planning and irrigation design services
Master Planning for Year-Round Agriculture
Great Lakes Adventist Academy
Cedar Lake, Michigan HEI is providing master planning and civil engineering support to the Great Lakes Adventist Academy (GLAA) as they continue to support a year-round nursery and farming program for the benefit of their students, faculty and neighbors. GLAA is a private, four-year coeducation secondary school situated on a 400-acre campus in rural Cedar Lake Michigan and is currently serving approximately 250 students.
Design services – master planning for nursery and farm property, site layout services, stormwater management programming and permitting assistance for wastewater system operations

American Legion Post 49

HEI is providing the American Legion Post 49 with surveying, civil engineering and construction services for the stabilization of a bank located on a 30-foot high bluff overlooking the scenic harbor west of downtown South Haven, MI. HEI will be exploring bank stabilization options and developing a stabilization plan. Design services – develop a bank stabilization plan, explore grant funding possibilities and obtain the necessary project permitting Construction services – specify materials for both building protection and aesthetic enhancement and provide construction observation

HEI assisted with engineering, surveying and site planning services for the 3-unit, ~6,000 sq.ft. retail building located in Holland, Township, Michigan. The retail development is located within the West Shore Drive Commercial Parcels Survey services - surveying and lot layout Design services - preliminary site layout, site design and grading, storm drainage calculations, stormwater management, site design details and submittal meeting assistance 
Spectrum Health Child Care Center
Third Coast Development
Grand Rapids, Michigan
HEI assisted Third Coast Development with site planning services for Spectrum Health's new child development center to be located on Michigan Street in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The project is aimed for completion during the fall of 2008 and will combine Spectrum's current child care facilities located on Lake Drive E and the Blodgett campus in East Grand Rapids. Design services - site planning, utilities, stormwater management and landscaping design
