Corrosion Technicians

Holland and Southfield Offices

Holland Engineering is seeking experienced Corrosion Technicians to work out of our Holland and Southfield office locations in Michigan. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years applicable on the job experience. The Corrosion Technician is responsible for all facets of field performance in corrosion prevention duties on pipeline systems including cathodic protection, internal corrosion control, protective coating and linings, materials selection and design/project support. Duties may include, but are not limited to, locating and verifying field inspection sites, performing field inspections, and the documentation and evaluation of the findings.

Candidates must provide a high level of technical support relating to corrosion control and pipeline integrity. Pipeline systems include pipelines, tanks, compressor stations, and gas treatment plants. Candidates must hold a current NACE certification, as well as knowledge in DOT Compliance, documenting and maintaining all records, inputting data into a GIS database, and other related corrosion control work. This position requires a willingness to travel frequently. Lodging and per diem will be provided.

The ideal candidate will possess strong written and oral communication skills and be able to interact professionally with staff and clientele. Holland Engineering has a wide range of clients and projects, and therefore, the position requires an individual with a strong technical background and analytic skills. Safe work practices and active participation in our safety program are required. A valid driver’s license is required, along with the successful completion of a DOT drug & alcohol test, background check and pre-employment physical.
