2020 Survey Scholarship Awarded to FSU Student, Jedidiah Lewis

Holland Engineering offered it’s annual $2,500 scholarship to Survey students from Ferris State University, Michigan Technological University, and Northwestern Michigan College. Many excellent applications were received, and it was tough to choose just one recipient.

Holland Engineering is excited to announce the 2020 Survey Scholarship winner, Jedidiah Lewis!

Jed is a Junior pursuing a Surveying Engineering degree at Ferris State University (FSU). He has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and community service. Jed is the elected treasurer of the FSU Burt and Mullet Surveying Club and is a part of the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) National Competition team. He’s volunteered for FSU’s annual Rake N’ Run and assisted at the Michigan Society of Professional Surveyors (MSPS) Annual Convention.

“I love math, history, the outdoors, and technology. Surveying involves all of these, so when I was exposed to surveying, it was a relatively easy choice for me to pursue it… After gaining the work experience required, I would like to pursue the prospect of starting my own survey company. I know that my plans will change along the way, but I also know that my degree will hold value no matter the decisions I make.”

Congratulations again, Jed, and best wishes as you pursue your personal and professional goals!
