This year, Holland Engineering offered it’s annual $2,500 scholarship to Engineering students from Calvin College and Western Michigan University. We received many excellent applications, and it was tough to choose just one recipient.
Holland Engineering is excited to announce the 2019 Engineering Scholarship winner, Jarrett Nuyen!
Jarrett is a Junior pursuing a Civil Engineering degree at Western Michigan University. He demonstrated outstanding scholastic achievement and community service. The type of industries that interest him most include wastewater, energy, and structural engineering.
“My future as an engineer started out as most, playing with Legos. While all my friends were making cars and spacecraft, I was making buildings and arranging them to build the perfect city… My long-term goals and plans are to help further the advancement of civil engineering and help lead younger civil engineers to success,” said Jarrett.
