BRIEF
When the Baldwin Lakes Condominium Association was developed in the early 2000s, an on-site wastewater treatment system was designed and installed to serve the initial construction of some 25 residences. Today, with 49 residences in the development, the system is regularly overloaded.
We worked with the homeowner’s association to educate them about the wastewater treatment system, providing information on ways to reduce the load on the system and improve its performance. Subsequently, it was decided that the system needed to be improved.
We then worked with the local health department and the MDEQ to design and permit a system expansion that would increase the capacity of the system to meet current demands. We worked closely with the township to help set up the special assessment district to fund the system improvements. Once construction was under way, we provided periodic inspections, as well as final system testing and certification services.
