Holland, Michigan — December 2, 2025 — Holland Engineering, Inc. a leading provider of multi-discipline engineering, surveying, and environmental services, today announced a planned leadership transition and internal ownership transfer, effective January 1, 2026.
After nearly five decades of growth and service, HEI will transition to its next generation of leadership. Eric Osterhaven, P.S. will assume the role of President, and Sherry Slocum will serve as Vice President. Ownership of the company will transfer to Eric, Sherry and a team of additional long-tenured leaders with a combined average service of 22 years.
This internal succession ensures continuity of HEI’s culture, values, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service while positioning the firm for continued growth and innovation.

The transition in ownership will not affect the day-to-day operations of the company. Jerry Ford, P.S., the firm’s owner since 1996 will remain on staff as Chairman of the Board through this transition, providing guidance and support to the new leadership team. “This planned succession reflects the strength and depth of our team,” said Jerry Ford. “I am immensely proud of what we’ve built together and confident that this talented group will lead HEI to even greater heights while staying true to the principles that have defined us for nearly half a century.”
