With great sadness, we announce the passing of Steve Lampen, co-owner and a valued leader of Holland Engineering, Inc (HEI). Steve dedicated 46 years to HEI and the industry as a whole.
Steve was strong, hardworking, kind, generous, and caring. He had an unparalleled work ethic and a deep passion for his profession, always leading by example and inspiring those around him. His dedication to excellence helped build and sustain the reputation of HEI, shaping the company into what it is today.
A Legacy of Leadership and Dedication
Steve earned his B.S. in Land Surveying from Ferris State University, setting the foundation for his distinguished career. Throughout his tenure at HEI, he played a pivotal role in mentoring staff, guiding projects, and ensuring the highest standards of service and integrity. His leadership, expertise, and commitment to the industry were unmatched, making him a respected figure among his peers.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Steve was a man who cared deeply for those around him. Whether through his generosity, his willingness to lend a helping hand, or his ability to lead with quiet strength, he made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Outside of the office, Steve was an adventurer at heart. He found joy in hiking, traveling, and working out, always seeking new challenges and experiences. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, and his love for the outdoors reflected his appreciation for hard work, perseverance and exploration.
While his presence will be deeply missed, Holland Engineering remains steadfast in its commitment to the values Steve championed. Our leadership team and employees will continue to carry forward his legacy, ensuring the same level of professionalism and service our clients have come to trust.
