Saginaw Trail Pipeline

BRIEF

We provided engineering, surveying, construction, and environmental services to Consumers Energy in support of their Saginaw Trail Pipeline Project.

The Saginaw Trail Pipeline is a five-year, $610 million project replacing 78 miles of pipeline with 94.4 miles of newly installed pipeline over five phases within five years.

We provided preliminary survey and drafting services, including alignment sheets, easement exhibits, permit drawings, and preparation of certified plats on the power company’s corridor. We also provided construction staking and weld as-built.

As a part of HEI’s engineering scope HEI has designed the following HDD crossings:

Phase I

  • I-75 – 1020’
  • Neff 120 + Alpine and Blackmore Drain – 1255’
  • Morrish 120 + Swan Creek – 1571’

Saginaw Reroute

  • Tittabawassee River – 3165’
  • Shiawassee River – 3650’
  • Swan Creek I – 1000’
  • Swan Creek II – 1980’

Flint Reroute

  • CNRR – 1655’
  • I-69 – 2420’
